I’m Alura Buckner, the only certified ISR Instructor in Spicewood, TX! My husband Josh and I got married in 2016. We have a son named Joshua (JJ), and a baby girl named Ariela (Ari). I grew up in Florida and swam competitively from age 7 through High School. I have always loved being in and around water. Once we built our home out in the hill country and decided to also build a pool, we knew that a pool safety fence wasn’t the only layer of protection we needed. I, like you, am an ISR parent as well. We enrolled our son in ISR lessons just after his 2nd birthday and we were amazed with the results. The nearest instructor to us was a 40 minute drive each way from Spicewood, but we still enrolled JJ and made the drive. These lessons were invaluable to us and it became clear that Spicewood and it’s surrounding areas needed to have these lessons available to them as well.
Through my rigorous ISR Instructor certification, I was trained and tested in the areas of child psychology, physiology, anatomy, behavioral science and early childhood development principles to provide the safest lessons possible for your child.
Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children ages 1-4. Drownings do not discriminate. They can happen to any family, in any body of water.
