About ISR Lessons

Infant Swimming Resource’s Self-Rescue survival swimming program is a 5-6 week course. Your child comes to lessons 5 days per week (Monday through Friday) for 10 minutes each day. With a focus on safe, customized, one-on-one lessons by a certified Instructor, ISR’s survival swimming lessons emphasize health, ongoing program evaluations and parent education to deliver the most effective and safest results in the industry.

Float
Infants (starting at 6 months old)

Infants learn breath control, correct floating posture, and the skills to rollback to float and maintain this life-saving position until help arrives. Students are brought back at an older age to learn the swim-float-swim sequence.

During the final week of lessons, students test out their self-rescue skills in pj’s and winter clothing. Parents are also invited to join us in the pool for one day to learn the best ways to maintain your little’s fancy new skills.

Swim
Children (up to 6 years old)

Littles learn breath control, correct swimming posture (face down in the water), and the skills to rollback to a float and then turn back over to continue swimming in a swim-float-swim sequence until the student reaches safety.

During the final week of lessons, students test out their self-rescue skills in pj’s and winter clothing. Parents are also invited to join us in the pool for one day to learn the best ways to maintain your little’s fancy new skills.

Refresh
Program Graduates

Maintaining and furthering your little’s self-rescue skill development is extremely important. Children grow and develop rapidly from infants to toddlers, and young children. This development process represents improved strength, coordination, and a more finely tuned cognitive ability.

In accordance with this growth, program graduates participate in maintenance lessons in subsequent sessions or refresher lessons annually.
